Much of the evidence collected during a workplace investigation comes from verbal sources meaning it is vitally important for a workplace investigator to be able to interview participants effectively. During this masterclass, you will learn about the importance of memory and how memory works, the barriers to memory and effective communication, the importance of planning an interview, effective questioning techniques, active listening and conversation management, timelining, recording methods and managing disruptive behaviour.
Participants will be provided a scenario to work through and the opportunity to practice the skills discussed during the workshop.
