Review of Actions

Independent, external Review of Actions in the public sector

Many public sector industrial agreements and policies require an external, independent decision-maker to participate in review of actions processes. Worklogic’s experts have the expertise and experience to adjudicate and make fair, defensible review decisions.

Review of Action Panels

In government departments and agencies, councils, universities and other public sector -related organisations, employees often have the right to seek a review of a decision made by the organisation that affects them.  To ensure fairness and an external perspective, the review process often requires an external decision-maker (someone who is not an employee) to sit on the panel and take part in the review decision.

Worklogic’s experts have significant experience in the public sector, a  strong reputation for fairness and impartiality, and expertise in workplace relations and evidence-based decision-making.

Our Approach

Worklogic is experienced in conducting review of actions under the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic).  We are listed in the Victorian Public Sector Commission’s Register of Review Officers as ‘independent review officers and investigators experienced in conducting reviews and investigations into unacceptable workplace behaviours [who are] available for Victorian public sector organisations to engage as needed.’

Our team includes qualified mediators, conflict coaches and former employment and litigation lawyers. We are experienced in managing Review of Action hearings, making findings and writing reports in relation to specific matters raised by public sector employees.

Applying a robust approach to evidence, we always maintain a fair process.

We are confident to seek the information we need to make defensible decisions, to manage conflict and the process challenges that often arise, and to preserve our role as the independent decision-maker.

This is why many public sector organisations trust Worklogic’s consultants to sit on Review of Actions panels.

Worklogic is a fully- functioning hybrid workplace and can provide services in person or via video conference. Worklogic is compliant with any current public health orders and is committed to prioritising the health and safety of staff and clients.

Worklogic’s combination of professionalism and values make them a compelling and trusted service provider. We have engaged Worklogic for policy development, training and mediation and on all occasions have found them highly effective in achieving a sustainable outcome for Justice Connect and our staff.
