Research on bystanders has been underway since the 1960’s, largely in relation to school-yard bullying and violent street crime. More recently, however, the workplace has come under scrutiny. What is clear is that wishing for an upstander culture to spontaneously happen is not sufficient. Join us in this training session where you will learn not only what are the four transitional phases whereby a neutral bystander decides to become an upstander (someone who intervenes), but also how you can embed and nurture these phases in your workplace, and thereby actively promote an upstander culture.
